Bitraf

Located in the city centre of Oslo, bitraf is 700 square metres of technology and people.

Open 7 days a week, bitraf is a social enviroment where you can collaberate with others, get help with your projects, develop a new product, or work on your hobby projects.

Bitraf is also a well equiped workshop, with it´s own CNC mill, 3D printer, lathe, saws, laser cutter, reflow oven and all the handtools you can imagine, alowing you to buid your dream, or start your busines!

Located in bitraf´s offices in the third floor, several startup companies are not only designing their products, but also doing the actual production of the prototypes. This allows them to be competive, not having to wait for prototypes being shipped back and forth between countries.

Places like these are a phenomen called ´makerspaces´. Makerspaces are popping up all over the world, offering an addition, or alternative to classic education. In a makerspace, you learn by doing, and evolve by reading. Instead of having a centralized hub, new knowledge is spread on the internet, then transfered person to person between the visitors of our makerspace, often through common projects.

Instead of just consuming electronics, we build our own.

Our CNC machine provides the means of massproduction to ordinary people.

Our laser provides fast production of prototypes, art and toys.

Altough slow, with the 3D printers, you can produce amazing geometry never before possible!

Office spaces is rented out for cheap to freelancers!

Bitraf is open all 7 days of the week, and you can come visit us at any time. Visiting bitraf is free, but we recomend you to become a member, alowing you to use all of the machines, and support us finacialy. 

The membership fee is 500 kr/month, and grants you a shelf spot for your project and a key to the place, wich lets you come and go whenever you want. you will also be able to take usage of our 3D printers.
